Chemical Peel - Jessner Peel

The Jessner Peel is a medium-depth peel designed to treat skin damage from sun exposure and conditions such as Rosacea. The Jessner Peel formula is made from salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resotcinal.

The Jessner Peel can improve upon such skin problems as brown discoloration and blemishes, acne, and sun damaged and weathered skin. Although it can penetrate more deeply into the epidermal layers of the skin, the Jessner Peel is gentler than other chemical peels like the TCA peel. Thus, patients can return to normal activities more quickly.

Your Forever Young Medspa skin technician applies a glycolic cleanser on your face prior to the Jessner Peel treatment to remove oils so that the peel will penetrate your skin. When the Jessner Peel solution is applied to your face, you will feel a slight burning sensation and you will develop a white hue in the face, which will go away after several hours. The solution will then be removed from your face using cool water and you may have a calming mask applied. Your skin should peel and flake for the next 7 days and might turn light shades of pink or brown. We advise that you NEVER pick at the flaking skin as it can cause scarring or infection. Moisturizing will minimize the peeling.

After your skin heals, smooth, beautiful skin will be revealed! The Jessner Peel can be re-applied every 2-3 weeks, depending on the recommendation from your Forever Young Medspa technician.
