Eyelid Surgery Fort Lauderdale
Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure performed by Dr. Wigoda to enhance the appearance of the eyes by removing excess skin and fat from the eyelids. Eyelid surgery can be done in conjunction with other procedures such as facelift and brow lift to achieve the desired look.
At Forever Young MedSpa in Fort Lauderdale, we have helped numerous clients restore the vibrant and youthful appearance of their eyes by providing them with beautiful and natural-looking results from their blepharoplasty.
Good Candidates For Eyelid Surgery
- You have tired looking eyes due to age or heredity.
- You are in good physical and emotional health.
- You have realistic expectations.
Your Eyelid Surgery Consultation
During your initial complimentary consultation, you will have the opportunity to meet with the board-certified plastic surgeon. Your previous surgeries, your medical history, medications you are presently taking, and your overall physical and emotional health will be reviewed. Your skin quality will also be evaluated.
Photographs may be taken for your medical record. Our board-certified plastic surgeon will work with you to determine what
procedure you will benefit from most and whether or not additional procedures will be necessary for you to achieve your desired results.
About Eyelid Surgery Fort Lauderdale
You will require anesthesia. Blepharoplasty is usually performed under local anesthesia along with intravenous sedation as an outpatient procedure. The incisions are made in the creases of your upper eyelids and just below the lash line of the lower eyelids.
Recovering from Eyelid Surgery
Recovery time, risks, and limitations associated with surgery will be discussed during the initial consultation. A member of our staff will review surgical costs and scheduling with you. Unlike some centers, all our surgeries are performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon at a state-certified outpatient center and never in the office.
While the price may be higher than office-based procedures, we will not sacrifice your safety and risk of a poorer outcome by cutting corners.
I was very impressed with everything about Forever Young Medspa. I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. The offices are clean and tastefully decorated. Explanations of the procedures I am interested in were detailed and made me feel confident that I was in the right place. After talking to Dr. LaGrasso, and learning about his qualifications, I am certain that I will get the plastic surgery procedure done by him.

Finding a Board-Certified Surgeon
Many centers advertise Cosmetic Surgeons as being board certified. Did you know there are only two recognized certification bodies? The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The ABPS is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). These officially recognized boards establish common standards for physicians to achieve and maintain board certification.
So while many physicians pose as having board certification only membership in the ASPS or the ABPS and the symbols below are your assurances that your plastic surgeon has passed the rigorous requirements for board certification.
If you would like to see if your doctor is board-certified, please click the links below and type in the doctor’s name.
Either of these two symbols is your assurance that your doctor is officially a board-certified plastic surgeon and has passed the rigorous testing standards for this recognition. Dr. Wigoda is recognized by both boards.
